Fall Adventures

Can't believe it's almost Halloween! Emme has her costume all picked out and ready to go and she looks adorable in it as you can see.....

My little Kitt-E-Kate!

One of my mommy friends, Sky, is picking up photography and we had a photo playdate with all the babies. Her house was overrun with babies everywhere! So much fun! All of us mommies reverting to kids ourselves playing dress-up and posing them :) We did get some wonderful shots and really had a great time. Here's a couple pics from the shoot:

Before our photo shoot, Emery actually had a playdate at her friend Ike's so it was a very busy day and she held up really well considering all the running around! Kevin and I also took a trip up to Dahlonega for Gold Rush Days. It was soooo crowded though and we ended up not staying too long. We did get to stop by Burt's Pumpkin Patch on the way home though. There was some HUGE pumpkins there and we got some great pics. The weather is finally cooling down and we are seeing some beautiful Fall foliage. I love this time of year!

Spoke too soon....

Guess I got to get used to the fact that with babies....things CAN and will change! We seem to have hit a rough patch with the crib sleeping. We have our routine down pat though...when I get home from work she eats dinner with us in her highchair--usually just some homemade puree or broken up bits of sweet potato. Then it's a little playtime and upstairs for bathtime. After bathtime, we ready a story or two while daddy or I gets a bottle ready. Daddy says goodnight and I feed her in the rocking chair with her sleep sheep waves on and the lights off. She usually doozes right off to sleep and I will rock her and cuddle her for about 20 minutes or so. HOWEVER, the minute her head touches the crib....the eyes fly open, the hands start grabbing and the screaming begins! For the past few weeks we have literally tried everything!!! From letting her cry it out to just giving up and letting her sleep with us. I have even climbed into her crib and laid down next to her! The past few nights have started to work though....I have just been letting her cry, standing by her crib and patting her hair. Little by little the crying has started to stop and last night there was no crying when I put her down at all! So yay! Now are only obstacle is the night-waking (at least 1-2 a night). If it's past 1-2am, I usually bring her down to our bed to sleep which isn't so bad--at least I get to wake up to my lil angel next to me :) I guess that's my fault though and I can deal with that.
